The black sand of Hamoa Beach is one of the best
beaches on Maui. The water isn’t too rough, there
are no rocks in the surf, the crowds are minimal,
and the nearby scenery is amazing. For a beach
vacation, Hamoa Beach is tough to beat.
Hamoa Beach is about a five to ten minute drive
from the town of Hana. The drive is easy to make,
with lots of great scenery along the way. There
isn’t a parking lot, so you’ll need to park on
the side of the road and walk down the steps to
the beach. Parking isn’t normally a problem
because the beach is never crowded.

In the eastern part of Napa Valley, you will find Carneros. While Napa Valley has certainly become famous around the world in the last thirty years, Carneros has become decidedly unique. While you will certainly find plenty of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in Carneros, you will also find plenty of Syrah and Merlot as well.
Some of the most well known wineries in Carneros include Talisman Cellars, Etude and Truchard Vineyards. One of the reasons that the wineries in the Carneros region have become so successful is widely attributed to the cooling by the fog and the wind from the San Pablo Bay. Still, you will typically find that compared to numerous other wine regions in California, the weather in Carneros is still rather warm. On the Napa side of Carneros, the weather tends to be warmer than on the Sonoma side.

The Cove of La Jolla sits below the Ellen Browing
Scripps Park in downtown La Jolla. The sandy
portion of the beach is quite small, with plenty
of rocky cliffs. During high tide, the surrounding
rocks will trap the water that stays behind as
mini tidepools when the tide goes out, giving
both children and adults something to peer into.
The La Jolla Cove, 1100 Coast Boulevard, is a very
small beach that’s tucked between adjacent sand
stone cliffs. Due to it’s amazing beauty, the Cove
is one of the most photographed beaches in the
Southern California area. Although it’s within a
short walking distance of the commercial community
area of La Jolla, the Cove still retains a style of
it’s own.

Located on the southwest side of Maui, the Fairmont
Kea Lani Maui overlooks the amazing waters off of
Polo Beach. The beach here is the center of all
water activities such as snorkeling, sailing,
kayaking, and even windsurfing.
Visitors here can play on any of the Wailea Golf
Club’s three championship golf courses or enjoy
a game of tennis at any of the 14 courts the tennis
center offers. Parents that are tired can get some
much deserved personal time with a massage at the
Spa Kea Lani.

The first local grapes were planted in Rutherford by Thomas Rutherford in the middle of the 19th century. This began the illustrious history of the Rutherford Wineries. The name of this region was derived from Thomas Rutherford, who contributed so much to the history and development of the region. Today, the original land on which those first grapes were planted is owned by Provenance Vineyards, a winery respected in its own right. The Rutherford family held strong ties throughout the Napa Valley wine region as Rutherford married one of the granddaughter’s of George Calvert Yount; Elizabeth Yount. For their wedding present, Thomas and Elizabeth were presented with a large parcel of land in what was at the time a northern tract of Caymus Rancho, belonging to Yount. Significant time, as well as energy, were spent developing the vineyards there and producing wine. As a result of their efforts, the Rutherfords gained a strong following.

The concept of becoming a member of the beach vacation club is usually to share in the maintenance costs of the place. To become a part a member, you have to invest a certain amount of money which is better known as time sharing which entitles you to use the place or rent it out. This could be from two weeks or even longer annually depending on your agreement.
