One of the most notable things about Costa Rica from a plane is just how green it is. This verdant paradise gives you the opportunity to view wildlife (including some very rare species), explore volcanoes or the rainforests, or just enjoy the beaches.
The Costa Rican winter (May to November) gets a lot of rainfall in the forests, but the beaches remain sunny and lovely. Prices are much lower during this time, and so is the amount of tourists. If you’re concerned about safety, know that Costa Rica is a peaceful democratic society which abolished its armed forces some time ago and does not suffer from internal political strife or terrorism. Costa Ricans are known for their friendliness and hospitality.

Travelrobe has claimed that many islands in the Caribbean over the past few years have continued to expand and develop their infrastructure towards tourism, noting that St Lucia above all has embraced the void left by it’s failing banana industry and despite the lack of hype, it’s tourist facilities are top-notch and makes it a perfect destination.
Mark Felix, the MD says that while many of the islands including Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica continue to make their presence felt in sports and music worldwide, there are lots of unspoiled gems waiting to be discovered.

All there is to know about the vacation destination of your dreams - that is exactly what a Caribbean travel guide offers. But are Caribbean travel guides really godsend? Or are they just patronizing materials designed for commercial purposes?
Well, they’re a little of both actually. After all, the people behind Caribbean travel guides do need a source of income in order to continue to publish their guides. But a tremendous amount of research has been placed in these guides to just dismiss them as useless resource material.
What else is more nifty, informative and convenient than a Caribbean travel guide?

‘NOT JUST FISH & NOT JUST FOR THE RICH’
Think luxury Caribbean holiday and Barbados surely springs to mind. Up until recently, as your aircraft landed at Grantley Adams International Airport, you could see that symbol of ultimate luxury parked on the runway: Concorde. Today, she’s hidden away in a hangar but still a testament to the fact that British Airways felt that Barbados was the only other place in the world - apart from New York - which could sustain Concorde flying into the island twice a week.

Each year, for four days only, the best sailors from every major island in the Bahamas converge at Elizabeth Harbour on Exuma Island for the National Family Island Regatta. During these four days, Bahamian sailors arrive prepared to sail their locally-built sloops for the much coveted “Best in the Bahamas†title. The competition is fierce and the atmosphere is alive with excitement as boating enthusiasts the world over descend on this picturesque island in the sun. Since the first race held in April 1954, the National Family Island Regatta has grown in size and popularity. Today, although the race remains the main attraction, visitors are invited to participate in countless onshore activities including fashion shows, beauty pageants, weightlifting competitions, volleyball tournaments, and endless parties. This festival certainly differs from its early days when the boats were smaller and the participants fewer.
