Vacation in Kota Kimbalu

Malaysia is home to Kota Kimbalu or “K.K.”, a beautiful spot for sea-lovers, divers and nature enthusiasts. Nearby Moun Kinabalu is known for its challenging mountain climbing and attracts many visitors worldwide every year. Other attractions include biking, hiking, bird-watching, rafting swimming, rafting and snorkeling, and a scenic tour on the North Borneo Railway.

The water is clear and warm and the beaches are breath-taking. Just miles from the city is Kimbalu National Park, a botanical site with a rich variety of flora and fauna. There are horse races every week. Just north of the city is a bird sanctuary.

There are lots of cultural things to do in the area, too. There are several art galleries (Sabah State Museum, Sabah Art Gallery and the Wisma Budaya ArtGallery, the Science and Technology Centre, and the Ethno Botanic Garden. The city boasts several restaurant and entertainment districts, as well as several malls and street markets. The Likas Sports Complex is available for public use in addition to housing national and international sporting events.
